Introduction
The WP Voting Contest Paid Entry Fee addon is a premium extension for the WP Voting Contest plugin. It allows you to charge an entry fee for participants entering your contests. The entry fee can be set at the category level, enabling you to charge different fees for each contest when running multiple contests.
Payment Gateway Support
This addon supports all 136 currencies supported by PayPal, Stripe, Coinbase, and PayStack.
Entry and Payment Process
Participants will fill out the entry form.
They will then be redirected to the chosen payment gateway (PayPal, Stripe, Coinbase, or PayStack) to complete the payment.
Once the payment is completed, the payment gateway will redirect the user back to the contest page.
The entry will be waiting for admin approval, unless the auto-approve setting in the WP Voting Contest plugin is enabled.
Activation Limit
An activation limit can be set to limit the number of entries. Once the limit is reached, each participant will be sent a payment link via email to finalize their payment. If the activation limit is not reached, no monetary transactions will take place to reduce the chance of refunds. This function is similar to crowd funding, where if the goal is not met, no transactions take place. If the goal is met, the participants will be notified to complete their transaction.
Configuration
You must configure this addon in two places. The Settings Menu has a sub-menu called Paid Entry Settings. Here you can configure merchant settings. After this is configured, you must configure the settings for each contest, see the topic Paid Entry Settings for more information. This is on the Add/Edit Tab within the Contest Category Menu.
